Blatter: La Liga is strongest! Premier League is just ok.
5 February 2011-
Blatter has finally come out and said it, the Spanish Liga is the strongest in the world!
"It must be the strongest league in the world," Blatter told CNN World Sport.
"And when you see the starting XI of the Spanish national team, all of them play their football in Spain. The Spanish league also has the highest number of local players."
The FIFA president also went on to say that the Premier League is the best marketed league in the world and is a GOOD league with GOOD players.
He actual said the word 'good' to describe what is undoubtably the most exciting, talent filled league in the world, but the fact that no Premier League players featured in the FIFA best XI means its cant be one of the top leagues!
"The Premier League is the best-marketed league in the world," Blatter blabbered on.
"It's a good league, with good players, but when you consider not one player made the best XI of the world, maybe they should think about whether something can be adapted."
Im not sure who exactly he thinks gives a damn about the FIFA XI and how it defines the best league in the World! A 'Top XI' that saw the likes of Diego Milito left out sounds like a joke to me.
If Blatter, the president of FIFA, wants every league to become a boring, two club race to the finish like La Liga, then some drastic action needs to be taken. With guns.{jcomments on}
